    Thats incredible!
    1500 crab pots every year are lost at sea! Thats a rediculous amount!
    You would think GPS would have put an end to poor navigating by now.There is no reason for them to lose that many pots anymore! I can see some getting a bouy line cut by a passing ship or something but not that many in a day!

    They almost always retreive their pots on Deadliest Catch buy they lose them to the ice.lol
