Congrats on the tank! I would go with something bigger, or run an additional filter on it as well.

Yeah, I think an xp4 would be a better choice for that size, or even an xp5 if you plan to stock heavily or have large waste producers. I'm another person who likes to have a lot of filtration on my tanks. You run into fewer problems that way.

I would go with an additional XP3...you would have 6 baskets which is darn near 6liters of media. Running 2 filters is always more efficient and you could have some great water circulation with all the attachments they give you for water flow. And with the DrsF*S hack...ordering an addition XP3 is still cheaper than 1 XP4
In all honesty filters are horribly over-rated, the XP3 will realistically only be able to handle about 60-70gallons of water alone tops...the XP4 would idealy only be handling 90G of water alone. Not because they lack the media to support it...but because they lack the turnover to run the water threw the media fast enough to keep waste from backing up. Take into consideration that loaded with media and a bit of wear the XP3 will drop from its maximum empty GPH of 350 to around 220GPH. Tanks generally need a minimum of 4x actual water volume your average 70G tank which will hold a bit more than 50G depending on decore will top it out easily
