Hmmmm.....I was thinking about taking advantage of bad water
Well, not really "bad" water.
As some of you know I have a problem right now with my well water. For some reason, yet to be discovered, there is ammonia in my tap water.
I've been wanting to start a 55gal tank, and was thinking.....could I take advantage of this?
Could the ammonia in my tap water be a good start for cycling?
Good idea? Bad idea?
I'm also going to try and build my own stand! Get ready for this adventure!! :)

I think you should find out what's wrong with your water first. If you have to buy bottled water for the 55 how stressful and expensive will that be? Try running your water for a time and then try a test on it. Maybe some of that flushes out after it runs a minute.
