Expert Village? WOW
Just looking around on youtube for videos on some cool fish and random stuff. Stumbled across this, and oh my how wrong it is.
Change out your filter pads once a month, wash your filter. And then the comments?! Oh god. I hope not many people follow this.

Yep, that's how we used to do things before we knew how to do them the right way. Its' basically what most pet stores still recommend to this day. Now I feel bad for all the fish that were unnecessarily exposed to ammonia and nitrates on a monthly basis. No wonder fish deaths and diseases were more common.

Yea "expert" village is a complete joke, its not even worth picking some of the videos apart, theres just no good info in the majority of them.
There is one guy on there that is okay as far as advice, of course he has very few videos compared to the others, or did last time i checked.

A bit more investigating has shown that "expertvillage" is basicly a place for how too videos on youtube. Unfortunately there is no process in place to weed out bad info. Your stuck with the good and the bad . Funny that even the noobs here could post more informative videos than what I saw .
