I've had several of both and find them both easy to care for. Yellow seems to be more popular at LFSs.
I've noticed very little difference between the two- Yellows don't get quite as big as Hippos, are slightly more prone to aggression.
I would recommend whichever is more atheistically pleasing to you and whichever specific animal looks healthiest when you go to purchase.-Dr. James

I would go for a yellow mainly because they don't grow as big as blue hippos and are not as active as blue hippos.
Blue hippos require large amounts of swimming room and are 'ich-prone'.
I have a yellow in my 110g and he just cruises over the rocks eating algae and bits of food. I have seen small blues darting all over the place in larger aquariums......................

I too would go for the yellow, and again, due to size. I have a standard 125gal tank with a Blue Hippo, and that is pushing it for these fish. Many people would consider even my 125 too small.
As unleashed also pointed out, the Blue Hippos are also typically more prone to ich and are also more aggressive.Considering a Marine Aquarium? A Breakdown of the Components, Live Rock, Cycling a Marine Tank

Hippos don't fit well in a 100g tank.

Either but I prefer the yellow. They are both about the same care wise.
