Underwater Digital Camera?
Hi Guys,
I will be heading to Puerto Rico this coming Sunday (woot!!) and I'd like to get a camera that I can use during my snorkeling trip. Please let me know a good option! I am looking at this Olympics one...
Thank you!

I know there are some 'disposable' digital cameras that can be used underwater but I'm not sure what the brands are. You might want to find a local diving place, they'll be able to help a lot more.

We have underwater disposable cameras for our trip to Discover Cove tomorrow. I'm actually posting this in our villa in Florida right now.

I was thinking of this Olympus Stylus 1050
But yes...disposable ones might be a better choice at this moment. I just don't want to risk the chance of exposure during the x-ray check...I don't know. Being overly paranoid.
Have anyone used this camera?
Thank you!

im working as a lifeguard for the summer and i saw a family using a digital camera underwater. it looked like a normal canon. i had never seen a non-disposable waterproof camera before.

There are some good camera water housings. I use one whenever I go diving. The work very well in shallow water but the images get a little to blue beneath 30 ft unless you got a red filter or a strong external flash.

X-ray machines won't affect digital cameras. The thought is that they would affect old-fashioned film, but apparently, only very sensitive film (high ISO) can be affected. Back in film days, I took ISO 200 or ISO 400 film through airport X-ray machines many times without ill effects.
