It depends how the live sand/rock arrives to you (damp or completely submerged)

If it arrives damp, it will delay the addition of fish/corals for a few weeks until it cycles. On the other hand, if it arrives completely submerged then you will only need to monitor the parameters for a few days before adding fish/corals. I highly doubt it will be the latter though.

With LR arriving Tuesday and LS arriving in a fortnight, I estimate that you should wait about 2-6 weeks after adding the LS before you add fish/corals. After you add the LS, you will need to test the water daily for ammonia, nitrate and nitrite until you reach suitable levels

The tank come from a bulk supplier, got it cheap cause I bought it straight from him. The lfs has just started corals in the last few months, I haven't been down there in ages... There's no local aquarium clubs either. BTW drum, everything's more expensive here... it's horrid.
Unleashed: The live sand will be completely submerged, I know that for a fact. What you sad sounds good cause I'm running low on funds atm...
