Something I've noticed with many forums (especially global ones) that some times the language barrier and different terminology can make the most helpful attempt at a reply seem sarcastic. That also can hold true for a first post...
Personally I can be a bit gruff on a reply and I've found that throwing something in a honest (sometimes brutally honest) reply like "hope that didn't sound like a lecture or sarcastic...sorry if it did...I really just want to help you out." can make all the difference in the world to anothers feelings.

Though I have to say of all the sites I go to for different topics, the people here have always gone out of their to be and sound nice. The staff makes it a point to be respectful (this post is just more proof of that) and cares about the members. And it's so nice to members follow that lead.
