Now im Confused ( DkH)
ok so from the start including directions and all of my LFS, ive been told that ur DkH should be anywhere from 8-12, depending on what type of tank u are running. and also a calcium of 400 -450 ppm. well ive been seeing a lot on the net lately about how natural seawater has a DkH of 7 and calcium level of 350-380. so why wouldnt u try to mimic that instead of the other way.

According to one of my coral books a higher alkalinity level than what typically found in the ocean is recommended due to the higher comparative bioload in aquariums.

The most important thing is you want ALK and PH to remain stable and not fluctuate at all.
