Let's Stock my tank
Hey Everyone,
I posted a thread the other day about my barbs dying. Turns out my tank wasn't cycled, so now I'm in the process of doing that. Well I'm looking for some suggestions on stocking this tank. It's a 10 gallon, I know the whole 1 inch per gallon rule. I'm just looking for some stocking suggestions and some cool ideas. So if you've got anything, just tell me an hopefully in a few months this tank will be awesome!

I saw this 10 gallon betta tank once that was amazing. The guy had one divider in the middle with a male betta on each side. It was a Spy vs. Spy theme. The white betta had black sand substrate and black plastic plants and decorations. The black betta had regular sand (looked white in comparison) with all white plastic plants and decorations.
It was very interesting and totally bad a$$. I love Spy vs. Spy!This is my witty and clever signature. You like? :)

How do you vac gravel without it getting all mixed up? It does sound like a kool concept tho.
One of my favorite fish are the red tailed rasbora's. They never bother anything or even each other. Swim constantly and are very pretty as a group. Almost a florescent yellow line down their entire side with a red tail.
I am thinking more and more instead of a small all neon tank to go with all rasbora's. Cories will do wonderfully with them, too, as well as shrimp.

Pictures of the red tail on this page but the picture does it no justice.Last edited by hobbs; 03-07-2007 at 02:01 AM.

he had one of those dividers that didn't have any holes in it (like a piece of clear plastic or glass), and it looked like each side had a little filter in the back. I'm trying to think how I would do it, and I'm thinking the best way to separate one tank into two would be to silicone a solid divider in the tank, fill with sand and deco, then equip each side with it's own small filter. Hell, maybe that's how he did it. I just remember seeing the picture but I can't seem to find it right now. Two very separate "areas" in one. VERY cool concept. :D
