The wen on our smaller oranda is growing at a surprising rate (much faster then our other oranda) and is already beginning to cover its eyes . I predict we'll have to trim it in under a year if it continues to grow at this rate. Is there a good reliable source for this procedure? I don't have to do it now but I want to be 100% prepared when the time comes. Also, has anyone here done wen trimming to an oranda. Thank you for any information

This may be of some interest! From the look of the actual surgery that is in the added article link I personally would be to frightened to do it in case I made a mistake.

Good link. I didn't know it was that involved, maybe we'll opt for a vet to do it. How much does it usually cost so we can start saving for when the time comes?

I honestly couldn't say how much it would cost. You may need to ring around the vets in your area to see if any actually deal with fish and do this type of thing.
