I'm not real familiar with all the variations, so this is a guess. It looks like a lake malawi mbuna.

Hi I think it maybe a Labidochromis Vellicans
I am sure you will get a deffo ID on him from someone else.

Cichlid ID
The one you mentioned has vertical stripes on the body , ours has horizontal stripes. Thanks for your input though. I will see if I can provide better photo, very slow digital camera.
