Shrimp - Maintain Cycle
My LFS has a cute little 5 gallon set up that has shrimp, moss balls, a tiny sprig of java moss and guppies in it. I want to do something similar, but I'm not really crazy about the guppy part of it. Sorry to all of you guppy fans, they're just not for me.
Can shrimp alone maintain a cycle or is their bioload so low that I would have have to add something just to maintain the tank's cycle?

You can do shrimp only easily. The bioload will adjust to what you have in there. A lot of ppl on the forum have shrimp only tanks.
