Thread: Fish juggling

    Default Fish juggling

The addition of the 30g tank and the decision to try again with the 29g has prompted me to redo all my tanks, meaning fish are going to be moved all around. I do water changes on all my tanks one after another, so would that be the best time to switch them around? The water in all my tanks is essentially the same, so I don't think there will be any issues. I think I'm going to do a series of water changes before I start the project just to be safe. Bad idea?

First, the danios are going in the 29g and the tiger barbs in the 30g to do instant cycles. The media and gravel are all seasoned and ready to go. Ultimately, I am moving the tiger barbs plus a couple more to the 29G along with the crayfish to complete. When I do move the TB's, I'll add khuli loaches to the 30g. Next I'll add some angels and keep a pair. Finally I'll move the mollies over to complete, and maybe make it a trio (30g is a hex).

When I move the danios, I will be moving the rainbows to the 45g. Then the cherry barbs are going to the 20g to replace the rainbows. The dwarf gourami will end up in the 20g as well, along with a few more barbs. The 45g is going to be a dwarf cichlid tank.

I am replacing the cherry barbs with a school of small tetras or rhasboras in the 10g. So that's my big plan, ambitious as it is.

Sounds like a plan. Good luck with the juggle.

Sounds good. But, I wouldn't keep more than 1 angel in a 30g.

1 angel it is. Not enough room for a m/f?
