What I want to get to with my 10g tank

8th post down. It has too much moss imo, but still....*drool
I think the small leaved plants create an illusion of size, because that tank looks WAY bigger than 10gFoshizzle.

Planted tanks are a lot more work (as I have recently found). They look great though. I wish my plants looked like that.

Getting your tank to look like that will tanke nothing but time and patience! I love live plants, but like abbeys mom said, it is a little more work than having plastic ones in there.

I was thinking about having a mountainscape like that, with a central "mountain" that I'll carve the chinese character for "tranquility" into.
And yeah, plants are a pain early on, but once you have everything balanced, I think it will get easier. In the later stages of a planted tank, the maintenance is just pruning, which you can reduce by picking slower growing plants. I plan on starting DIY CO2 injection tomorrow, so we'll see if that was the limiting factor in plant growth.Last edited by Chrona; 03-01-2007 at 05:27 PM.
