anyone use this?
I was in the lfs today looking for a fert for the plants and he gave me a link to a website with products he will be stocking after easter.

I never heard of them and was wondering does anyone use any of these products.

Nope but you are in Ireland so doubt many in the US have used or heard of it. Hope it works for you, tho.

I'm aware of it, since that product has been around some years. Microbe-lift purports to add bacteria into your tank that will consume detritus, ultimately making your aquarium clearer. Same effect you'd get, clarity-wise, if you vacuumed your substrate twice a month and did partial water changes every week.

I would regard that claim with skepticism. Sure the bacteria can break down the sugars to CO2 and H20 but you'll still have nitrates being produced along with sulfur and phosphorous compounds among many others. So unless these bacteria are decomposing everything into gasses the stuff isn't going anywhere until you do a water change and gravel vac.
