breeding your own food for your fish
so does anyone breed their own brine shrimp or other tasties for your fish? I was wondering how brine shrimp was done. is it something that is simple but time consuming or is it just simple? thanks guys.

If I am not mistaken brine shrimp are sea monkeys. I don't remember ever having trouble growing them.
55g: Future home of a green terror and 2 convicts
29g: Convicts, tiger barbs, corys, snails
29g: 3 fancy goldfish
5g: Betta

Many people grow baby brine shrimp (BBS) and various types of worms as live food. I've never really messed with this kind of stuff but from what I've seen if you have the time and patience it can really pay off. Check around online there are a lot of website that give instructions on setting up the right environments for growth for the little guys.
And yes sea monkeys are brine shrimp although I think they are a different type that the standard BBS used for food.

awesome. thank you for the link to your forum. sometimes i figure the questions have already been asked and i could probably find it if i just looked in the forums, but at times it seems like way too much work. especially if it's some sort of thread that has been brought up a long time ago and hasn't been bumped any time recently.
