of a hardy type like Bronze or peppers (both easily available) and add to

Thanks for this info ... I'd wondered which kinds were hardiest. I'm excited to go read up on them! I'm doing a fishless cycle now but do you still recommend starting off conservatively with the number of corys I introduce just to let them adjust?

I think so Chel, start with 3 and add to the group as the tank matures.
