http://www.nano-reef.com/articles/ Great link on nano tanks. A skimmer can be ran on every size tank there is in one way or another. Technically any tank 29 gallons and under are considered nano tanks. No matter how small I would go, I would find a way to hook up a sump and run a skimmer in-sump.

Stock the tank you have, not the tank you plan to have. Always have and use patience.

For those of you who want a SW tank and never have had one before or just starting out, read this blog entry from my blog on AC, it will give you a place to start.

ive stayed away from nano-reef, when i was on in 2007 alot of members flamed easily if you asked basic questions
but with a skimmer, always try to get one. you dont 100% need one on tanks under 20g, you can just keep up on water changes. however, a skimmer helps alot with water quality
