Breeding Scleromystax Barbatus

Hi
Im a cory fan, i love em!!!!
I brought a breeding pair of Scleromystax Barbatus last sunday (11th Feb).

They had spawned in the shop once before and ive been told they are ready to breed again as her belly is full of eggs.
They were in a 3 foot tank with 2 L134 plecos, some endlers and a few other corys but ive now moved them into a clear 2 foot tank of there own. Now just waiting on them to spawn again. Im doing daily water changes.

Is there anything else i can do to help them along???

Depending on when the fish breed in the wild, raiseing the temp a bit will stimulate summer heat, and lowering the temp will simulate spring rains. If you could figure out when they spawn in the wild, pm me and ill help you figure something out.

my cories bred in 77f with great water conditions, and the eggs were on a large leafed live plant with approx 100 eggs

and you want to use some chemical called something blue.

I think it starts with a m..... blue. ( i havent bred cories in 2 years)

Youll find it on google im sure.

Its a chemical that will prevent the eggs from naturally getting fungus, though i think melafix or pimafix ( whichever is for fungus) can do the same thing

Melafix cures some mild cases of mouth fungus, but pimafix uber pwns fungus

yeah, use pimafix.

NONE of the drugstores around here had that blue stuff i was looking for, and one asked me what a person like me wanted a weird chemical like that for (no, im not a druggie)

Never did find the blue stuff
