    do crayfish shed their shell because i woke up today theres like a shell of one in my tank and i notice it was in the same spot that one of them was sittin in most of the day
    Freshwater 20 GAL.
    7 Black Neon Tetras
    3 black skirts tetras


    Freshwater 50 Gal.
    2 crayfish-to be continued

    Yeah, they shed.

    yep they "molt" like shrimp

    my other one just did a while ago now their both bigger and the one with one claw has his other claw now but that claw is small will he shed again when his claw grows?
    Freshwater 20 GAL.

    Yes, they all shed, it's one of the reasons they are called "shellfish". It will continue to shed over and over as it outgrows it's current shell.

    it's important to let them eat their shells, so they can recycle the nutrients.
    Show tanks - 125, 125, 90, 10, 5
    Quarantine tanks - 29, 29, 20H, 20L
