Pink eye, stink eye - I HATE PINK EYE!

One of my students was out the other week for two days because she had pink eye. Well, after I got to work today, my eyes started to bother me like crazy (although they had been bothering me a little this weekend - just not this bad). I finally went to the school nurse, and she said that I should probably head to the doctor. So, I got a sub to come in for the rest of the day, and off I went to the doctor.

I have pink eye in both eyes, and she's written me out of work for tomorrow. grrr...

That went around down here in Greenville a few weeks ago Ellen. Both my kids had it and I had it as well. They do sell a cheap over the counter medication that will help. Sorry to hear you have it though, I know just how annoying it can be.

Different kinds of pinkeye.

Nothing you can do with viral - just wait it out.

Bacterial pinkeye might need antibiotics.

...just don't rub at them!!!

You'd think I would be excited about a day off, but it definitely will not be a fun one...and I have to prepare sub plans for tomorrow! lol I'm taking breaks between having a warm wash cloth over my eyes and doing some things on the computer.

The doctor gave me a sample thing of a medicine she said was pretty expensive, as well as a prescription that was cheapo. So, hopefully they'll get better fast with those two drops. My sister-in-law is due to have her baby any day now, so I have to get these eyes better so that I can kiss that baby!!

Don't get near your sister in law...She's got enough trouble with labour coming!!!

Yeah. I've basically been told to stay away from my whole family. lol My dad gets pink eye real easy (I guess that's where I get it from...), so I'm not supposed to be around him either.

Thanks! You don't want it!! I had it a few times when I was a kid, but I don't remember it hurting this bad. Mom said I have a pretty bad case of it this time. Hopefully the drops the doctor gave me will kick in and knock it out quick.
