All the corys died within 24 hours a couple weeks ago~don't think it was related to the guppy thing. The neons and platys were unaffected. Not sure I don't have something contaminating water there. Upstairs bedroom but no spray deodorants or air fresheners are ever used up there. Anyhow I moved the upstairs fish downstairs after a quarantine period...moved harlequins into 29 and put neons in 10 with shrimp & otos and platys in 29..wondered how everyone would get along but they're doing well...tore down the 20L and put away for now.

10: Otos, Amano Shrimp, Cherry Shrimp

Sorry to hear about your loss. That is very discouraging.
Increasing your biodiversity increases your stability.

You know what this tank needs? ........................ Crypts.

It's never fun to lose fish - how are your water parameters looking? If a tank isn't completely cycled, cories won't do well. Also, I have a few Amanos - they dont' touch algae in my tank but eat everything else I put in there - they are pretty big and hold their own - don't hide at all.

Monthly filter rinse + weekly water change~~~all well...everyone getting along in big tank..CAE "Elvis" is easily my favorite, fatboy tries to chase after danios, getting to think they are playing with him lol. Since algae accumulates in the 10 gal more than the 29 I swap stuff from the 10 into the 29 (decorations, pickup tubes) for Elvis to clean up. Someday he'll get big enough he'll just lay around but for now he's easily the most industrious fish in that tank.

Pretty much lost touch with AC but merry christmas to all~~not much has changed...really fallen in love with my CAE & amano shrimp though the lfs doesn't seem very successful in getting anymore amanos but I keep checking..ghost shrimp don't live very long with them there for some reason...the otos and amanos can't keep the algae at bay in the 10 thinking on getting another CAE for it then when he gets bigger moving him into the 29 with his own cave so Elvis has someone to work with though they are territorial..maybe by that time I'll move out the 10 & 29 and move up to a 55...

Moved the neons to the 29 yesterday~picked up 4 rather large amanos, got a nice picture of one I'll post later. I also got a couple cherry shrimps a couple weeks ago. So the 10 gal is home to 7 amanos, 2 cherrys, and 3 otos...pulled the AC filters out and replaced with a nice sized sponge filter in the center of the tank~and it's a popular hangout. Love to watch the shrimps do their thing.

My CAE continues to be my favorite fish critter~~the most maligned FW fish in aquaria~~yeah I'm odd..
