    I was reading your article of keeping gars. I noticed their was a Florida spotted gar so I googled it to get a better look at some pics. I noticed many people were fishing the Florida gars for sport. Than I got curious and thought do people eat them since they were sport fishing them. Came across many pages of recipes for gar. Sad yes I know. Than I came across this link on saving the gar foundation.

    But I thought how odd they even had a recipe page for them also. contradictory I would say.
