bristlenose hiding
I have recently set up a 55g tank., which is currently stocked with 4 neon tetras, 2 kuhli loaches and 1 bristlenose.
As you can imagine as the tank has only been going for 3 weeks (it is about 1/4 planted) there is not much if any algae. Since the kuhli's were introduced about a week after the bristlenose, he has taken to hiding.
He is currently in the java fern. I know this because I saw his tail tonight. 2 days ago I saw him sucking the glass. Should I be worried.

Not at all. Plecos are very shy and will always hide unless it is dark. Make sure you vary his diet a little with some algae wafers and fresh vegetables. Also, make sure you have enough hiding spots for him! Good luck!

My bristlenose has his own ornament that he hides in. He is so attached to it, that when I moved him from my 55g to my 10g, I had to move him IN the ornament. I tried everything I could think of to get him out, even holding the thing out of the water for a minute. He wouldn't budge. I only see him in the evenings, but if I use the flash on the camera and take a pic of the ornament, you can see him sitting just inside.
