Bolivian trouble...
I wasn't going to post about this, however its really starting to worry me.
My bolivian, my absolute favorite fish in my possesion, seems to have "bloating" problems. His abdomin is very large, and round looking. I was afraid it was dropsy, however his scales still are hugged to his body. I fed him last night, and he ate, but it didn't seem to go down well, and he clamped his fins and hid. This morning he was his same hyperactive self but still with the bloated figure. I'm going to start feeding peas, but I want to make sure there is no other underlying cause.
Thanks everyone

Maybe too much protein and not enough veggies...the peas are a good idea once a week...

I was thinking that to. However, wouldnt his abdomin go down once the food was digested?

Not necessarily... Try the peas and see what happens. He may be just constipated...

Sorry about the absence, was at school.
His stomach seems to have shrunk a little bit. I think I will keep him on a pea diet till it is normal again. Thanks for all your help =D
P.S. Did your betta Maggie? make it through?

I'm glad to hear the Ram is doing OK. It wouldn't hurt to fast for three to four days, and then a meal of peas.
Madeline died during the night...I was expecting it.Sharon
