$3 babies is a great option!!! Your plan Mith sounds good - go there, see what they have, come back here, we'll work it all out, then you can go and tell the LFS man to order anything they don't have! YAY!

Ok it looks to me like it's on its way. Keep testing until you see the nitrites get to 0, and I think a bit more nitrates will show.

Yup, that's the plan. Now once the amonia gets to to the point where it dissapates overnight... AND my nitrites are zero.... I do a 50% water change and then add my fish right?

I would go and see what both have - but I would be more inclined to buy from people that aren't rude when I ask why they stock such an ugly cruel thing such as tattooed fish.
