fish id
my LFS has these amazing tetras, they look like rummy nosed tetras, except they have an orange nose and blue tails. they are much more pale then rummy nose tetras and they don't have any black on them at all.
they are beautiful and i was considering trading in my danios for them, but i have no clue what they are and if they would be compatible with my tank.
sorry no picture...
any ideas?10g- planted freshwater

i don't remember, however, they are notoriously mislabeling their fish, they have rhinohorn gobies labeled as "clown goby" and their amano shrimp are just labeled as "algae shrimp". they had no idea what i was talking about when i asked for amano shrimp

that may be them. they were pretty pale, and maybe i am mistaken about their tales being blue, it may have been their body... thank you very much

Another name for amano shrimp is algae-eating shrimp. There are never any official common names.
