Tiger barbs and...what?
I have a 10 gal cycled tank with 3 danios a pleco and a pygmy algae eater (fox). I just added 4 tiger barbs. Next month can I add more fish if not that is fine, but if I can what would you suggest?
29G - black skirt, neon, headtail light tetras, pleco, corys, SAE
10G - swordtails, pleco, pygmy corys, danios
10G - swordtails, red wag platy, pleco, pygmy corys, danios
6G - pristella tetras, black neon tetras (3 of each)

Do you know which type of plec you have? Some plecs can get huge and will out grow that 10 gallon in a few months.

Pretty much ALL plecs I have looked at will outgrow a 10 gallon pretty quick. Sounds like the tank is already full, or at least it soon will be once the current stock grow a bit.
13 gallon - coldwater with 3 Zebra Danios, 3 White Cloud Minnows, 2 Orandas and an Apple Snail
30 gallon - 6 Zebra Danios, 2 Bristlenose Plecs, 1 Blue Neon Dwarf Gourami, 1 Female dwarf Gourami, 10 Neon Tetra's and 5 Julii Corys

Yes, it's full! Tiger Barbs are probably not a good choice for a 10 gal tank. The Pleco will have to go....Time for a bigger tank!!!

tiger barbs...and what
The pleco is a pygmy, set to top off at 3-4". I was told that plecos do fine with tigers. IS that thrue? And what about capacity. I think I have the rpoper ccapacity if you go by sq inch of water surface area. Why do tigers need a larger tank?

Tigers are active and need a lot of swimming room. I think the minimum tank size would be 20gal. and a 24inch length...I've never heard of a Pygmy Pleco...I'd love to see a picture!

You may have the right size tank for now. But these fish will grow. And as already been said Tiger barbs are very active fish and need room to swim.

If you were keeping 10 1" fish in that tank that won't get any bigger that would work. But the fish you have that isn' the case.

Also it sounds like you have a flying fox which will get too big for your 10 gallon.

Actually I checked it on Wikipedia. I have an algae eater genus Gyrinocheilus) but it has not gained much in size in more than a year inthe tank. Sounds like I don't want it any bigger.
