If you have a shower near by, you can remove the showerhead and put the python there too.

G is the one that hooks up between the python adapter and the sink. If the stock adapter doesn't work, you can always just take it to a hardware store and find the right fitting.

do I need all these spare parts or will the package with the hose do the job?

70L with jewel cichlid female
7G tank 12 CRS (more like 60 at this stage)

Oh all those parts are part of the package you get with the python. Just wanted to post a picture to show you what the fittings looked like. It just shows all the parts minus the actual hose and gravel tube.
