Breeding Ghost Shrimp
Has anyone had any luck breeding their own Ghost Shrimp? I'm curios as to what would be involved. Also, what are the best water conditions for keeping ghost shrimp?

I never successfully bred ghost shrimp. I got as far as the females breeding and carrying eggs, but they never hatched, or the babies got eaten. I don't think it would be that hard if you had a tank to put the female in while she carries the eggs. I imagine they breed easily, since they are cheap.
Here's an article that my help.

I was wondering the same thing, as i just got 4 ghost shrimp and i did some reading.
This guy bought 25 ghost shrimp and sealed them in a rubbermaid tub full of water, sand rocks and driftwood with some very small fish. he opened it a month later to over 1000 babies.Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can pay the rent.

I think my problem was that I never added any salt to the water. Mine lasted a few months, then I had to shut their tank down. I moved them in with my kribs and they got eaten.

Could be worse, I have kids t.v. show songs stuck in my head all day. I'll be doing dishes and find myself humming the theme to "Teletubbies" or "Seasame Street".
