Got some used gravel for fishless cycle
Its all I could get from my LFS. I put it in stockings and in my tank. Would one place be better than the other in my tank? Its the same color as my gravel, would dumping it be best?

Keep it in the bag under your intake.Just leave it there until you are cycled.

Unless they were using it with an undergravel filter then there is no real benefit from this gravel. Nitrifying bacteria will get in the tank, they are in the air.

Unfortunately they was not. I got 2 LFS around me, the one that used undergravel said they don't do that and recommended Tetra Safestart. The other didn't mind one bit but they used HOB filters and I didn't want to ask for used filter because he probably wouldn't have because it would have required a bit more work.
