    After the fishless cycle is complete and before you add the fish, should you add a water conditioner such as aquasafe?

    Yes, absolutely. If you are still in the midst of fishless cycling you should be adding water conditioner anyway. Your cycling bacteria won't like the chlorine and chloramines in the water.
    20 gallon tank - harlequin rasboras, rummynose tetras, panda corys, one lone pygmy cory that didn't die when the others did.

    10 gallon tank - planned planted with tetras and red cherry shrimp?
