Thread: Starting Out

    Smile Starting Out

I am new with saltwater tanks. A resturaunt I went to tonight had a fishtank. In it they had clownfish(not sure what type),yellowtail damselfish, some completly blue damselfish, and pajama cardinalfish. What tank would these fish require?

In my opinion they would need at least a 30 gallon tank for the respective sizes. It isn't the smartest thing to put two damsels in a tank that small though. They can be very territorial and aggressive for their size.
Stock the tank you have, not the tank you plan to have. Always have and use patience.

    Ok 1 damselfish.

If you get a 55g you could have even more fish, plus a bigger tank is better to start. =]

For that stock list, narrow it down to just one damsel, and a 30g should be sufficient.

A 70g will give you a lot more options.
