Featherfin Squeaker and Loaches?
Are these guys not compatible? My catfish are not liking these loaches much and constantly chase them away from the wood which is where the loaches also spend all their time.
The catfish I got 3 weeks ago are already the same size as the loaches I've had a year.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

The synodontis is a semi-aggressive cat and your (clown?) loaches are generally peaceful. That is why you might be having some issues. Sounds territorial. I would keep and eye on them and make sure nothing gets out of hand. If the Cats do get too aggressive you might want to think about rehousing them or if that isnt possible.... sell them?

I do like the catfish a lot but I have to admit I prefer the loaches due to their comical behavior and being so peaceful. The cats probably won't end up being able to be together, either. What about snails? Would catfish eat them?

My upside down cat never ate my snails. I had one of those softball sized african snails in my 33g tank and a bunch of small ones and he left them alone.
Interestingly enough, I made about $200 from selling snail eggs because I bought the african one pregnant, and she layed about 300 eggs a day for like 2 months straight.

WOW. Finally something in the tank that actually bought in money. I think the catfish and the loaches are just competing for same area. Loaches show no aggression at all but move away from the catfish but this catfish will get much larger so I just don't know about trying them together when already there is a problem.

I couldnt really find much on Synodontis eating snails. Everything was about the clown loaches. You have a good point with the aggresion problem, once your Cats mature it might get even worse!
