glass magnetic algae cleaners
[COLOR="Blue"] I hesitatle to use these magnetic algae cleaners they couuld scratch glass right??? Could they smack onto the glass and crack it? I have seen tanks in stores with lots of small scrathes. But on the other hand they are effective from what i have seen. What do you use anyone as a cleaner to get down the sides of a tank in hard to reach places?Imagine if i had a really deep tank.

The only time that you could scratch your tank glass with one of the magnet scrubbers is if you managed to get sand between the half of the cleaner that's in the tank and the glass. Your local LFS should carry a number of scrubbers that you could use no matter how deep your tank is (having long arms is a help LOL).

hello fins_n_fur is that your fish under your name? okay so the magnetic won't scratch as long as i do not grab up subtrate and trap in between the magnet and the glass. Thanks. My Christmas list grows.

I never liked the magnetic cleaners. I've resorted to a good old fashioned wash cloth and some elbow grease!-Jordan

I have seen them used and I was not all that impressed.Nothing beats getting in there and scrubbing it by hand. Its a lot quicker than trying to move two magnets together and I think hand scrubbing does a much better job!
Sorry all you magnet lovers its just my opinion.
