    It is impossible to guess... the average is 2-3 years but everything depends on the care & conditions they have had (even before they were with you)

    It is not unheard of to have betta's longer than 3 years... I had one who reached 4 and a bit.

    We have a Beta at work which has been in the lab itself for at least 6 years which is when it was removed from the large tank in the break room to a smaller 5 gallon hex in the Metals Lab by its current keeper.
