Pre-spawning behavior?
I've noticed my girl cory is getting rather fat on her bottom side and she is swimming up and down the glass like crazy trying to clean it. She is also following my boys extremely closely and nudging them. I know she is really in the mood to spawn but my two boys (finally figured out the gender of my deformed head one!) won't give her the time of day. They just keep foraging for food and minding their own business despite her best efforts. I keep reading online that the male will start the breeding but so far it's the opposite. So I guess my question is has his happened to others.

Yep this has happened to me! It took my corys awhile to figure out what to do. The female in my case the first time actually grabbed the male by his side fins to make him take notice. So if this is their first time it may not work - but keep an eye on them. The male will start shaking like crazy near her and she will latch on to his side. You can then see her put the eggs into her lower fins and go off to put them on the glass.
But in my experience you will be having eggs soon!!!

yea i'm reading it. I sadly don't have meth blue, my roommate only has meth green. We were wondering if salt would work or would that kill off the eggs...

Hmmm I wouldn't try salt. Do you have a turkey baster? I would try just putting them in the container and changing the water frequently making sure that the eggs move around in the air flow. Keep an eye on the eggs and if you see any become furry suck them out with the baster so it doesn't attack the other eggs.

She's prepared to take care of the little tikes if they hatch but I'll pass info down to you guys as she gives it to me. Darn corys have the worst timing for spawning >:(
