Tank Cleaning Attire?
I find it really funny, how my older brother has to change his whole outfit just to clean his tank. Even if he arranges the gravel, he has to change his shirt.
This one time, he wanted to do a water change, he left the room for a minute, and when he came back he was dressed in his bathing suit, and a sleeveless shirt. Maybe the sleeveless shirt, but the swim trunks! I wouldn't stop teasing him about this the whole day. I said "Dan what are you doing, the tank is only 75 gallons, you can't swim in it!". I just had to share this story with you.
So, is this normal? Do you guys have to change your clothes to even stick your hand in the tank? I want to hear what you think.Awww... so cute.

I just clean the tanks int he nude with a soap on a rope around my neck so if I splash water on myself I can use it to bathe in.......
Funny how sine I have gotten a python I seem to have lost quite a few friends. This posting was approved by:

Why does he do that? How ridiculous. No, I do not change my clothes to do anything to the fish tanks, most of the time I don't even wash my hands afterwards.

I don't know, he told me he didn't want to get his good clothes wet. I'd understand why he'd need a sleevless shirt, but I really laughed at the swim trunks.
Awww... so cute.

I always take my shirt off when i work with my tanks cause it makes me look sexy
lol seriously, so my sleeves dont get into the tank and so dog hair doesnt fall off my clothes into the tanks when im working.....cant imagine why u would need the swimming trunks though...
But since the tb, i always wash my hands after and so should everyone.

Does he realise that water doesn't actually hurt clothes? It would dry up in a matter of minutes, not that you usually get wet anyway. I've never gotten water anywhere but the ends of my sleeves, and that's pretty rare.

I dont want to get my sleeves wet for the same reason i wash my hands after, and so i dont get dog hair in my tanks, or my hair, or dirt or anything else that could be on my clothes after walking around all day. Its like not washing ur hands before u mess with the tank as well

Washing your hands is a must as they have all sorts of germs.
Please atleast wash your hands.
I don't change my clothes at all as my tank is not deep enoughh to get my sleeves wet.

I just make sure I am wearing a T-shirt or sleeveless shirt when I know my hands/arms will be going in the tank.
Stock the tank you have, not the tank you plan to have. Always have and use patience.

He usually doesn't do it as much, but on that certain day he had to do a big water change. But I tease him constantly about that day. He had also got my 4 year old neice worked up into thinking we were going to take a swim in the pool or somthing.
Awww... so cute.
