hello help
Hi everyone I am new to the site, I am in need of some help I am new to salt water tank. My tank have been up now for about 4-6 month an I have not clean my tank yet now its a mess can someone put me in the right area on how to clean the tank I have got advices from people that don't how to care for salt water fish and can't tell me and anything about my tank. Now I have a red film growing in my tank, I was told not to take out the water just add water I want and need my tank clean PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

The red stuff is algae and depending on what type it is it can be good or bad. What else exactly is wrong? In general you want to do weekly small water changes. What are your nitrate levels? What filtration do you have? What size tank? What fish? Any live rock?
