The red stuff is algae and depending on what type it is it can be good or bad. What else exactly is wrong? In general you want to do weekly small water changes. What are your nitrate levels? What filtration do you have? What size tank? What fish? Any live rock?Owner: Aquarium Maintenance and Pet Care Company
