More then enough. I think the 2217 will do up to 159 gallons of water US

Eheim 2217 and a 65
I have a 65 and a 2217. Was heavily planted, and it was fine for 2 years. Just got rid of the plants and I added a HOT magnum just to be safe Plants are natural filters. If your tank is heavily planted, the 2217 is fine, but make sure you change the media every year. I know it's expensive, ehfimech, ehfisubstrat. Tip: get ehfifix, it makes a great barrier between the ehfimech and the ehfisubstrat. You should clean the filter once a month.
Anyone else think Ehfisubstrat Pro looks like Coco Puffs?

in my 55g I have 2 350 penguin bio wheel filters and a fluval 304 canister filter. I would recomend both. Although I would have gotten a eheim if they had any around here.
75g:
5 small clown loaches
Blue acara
satanoperca leucosticta (earth eater)

thank you for the feedback. I have a second 2217 from another tank that is down right now. I'll set it up and see what happens.
Right now, I just don't think there is enough circulation. O2 bubble go straight up until about a 1/2 inch from the surface where they interact with the 2217's flow. The plants near the bottom show almost zero movement. You can tell there is some movement, but you have to stare at it to really see it...hence my query.65 gallon high

Sorry about my comment. I guess I didn't know enough to leave that kind of feedback. When I was doing my research, the Eheim 2217 classic says it can handle up to 159 US gallons. I was planning on getting that for my 90 Gallon tank but I guess I should reconsider since what they say isn't even true....or is it?
