Aquarium Plants
One you buy plants from the lfs then put them in your aquarium, do u need to clip their sprouts so the plants can focus on growing a root system (Like outdoor plants) Or do they do just fine? After reading some post and info this caught my curiosity, and due to wanting to have at least something live in the plant department in my aquarium figured I should ask before I forget.

No, but like outdoor plants some need to have the roots trimmed to stimulate new growth
As I get older I find myself thinking about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Okay, I know nothing about gardening, so that's new to me! About how much should be trimmed off the roots?

Swords for example benefit from having about half of the roots cut off. The uptake of nutrients is through the tiny "hair roots"
