55 Oscar Tank?
After the rather scary ammonia spike in my community tank, followed by the death of everything in there except for my skirt tetra and some cory
I decided I'd be easier for me to convert it into an oscar tank. I'm finding homes for the remaining fish, but was still wondering if an oscar would eat large skirt tetra and cory? (1.5-2.5 inches in length/diameter) Also, would I be able to fit two oscars in there?

first off Oscars will eat everything that fits in their mouth. And only 1 oscar will fit.

If its a starter tank for a few months,it should be fine.No longer.
You will need at least a 110gal. for them to grow out in.
The Oscars will definately eat your other fish as soon as they will fit in their mouths and probably beat up on them until then.Ray

yeah, youre looking at best a 90g for a pair of oscars, but if you could a 120g with a 48x24 footprint that would work awesome

I would consider a 75 minimum for one or two, this assumes tons of filtration and enough water change sot keep the nitrate under 20ppm.
