What kind of temps do you think it would be safe to ship in? It has been getting a bit chilly here at night.

Well that is a good question..... I think they would survive as long as they do not stay outside or in a real cold place too long.

I can get heat packs but that really ups the price for shipping to close to $10 to cover the cost of the bigger box and the material needed.

Found a post on planted tank about them arriving doa, where the person says the temp was 50 degrees for a few days and 70 degrees when they ordered it. Heat packs might really be the only option.

theaquariumwiki.com gives these temps 73 -80 °F (22.8-26.7°C) Couldn't find anything on how low a temp they could survive at.

I had my originals shipped in from Netherlands and they came in fine and I pretty sure they went down low... But we will find out I'm shipping some tonight.
