How about a new default avatar image for people that don't pick one? The default one says something "No avatar selected" Or something close to that.

another thing we could do is i see many forums have pictures you can instantly choose if you dont want to upload one yourself, cant remember if we have that but if not it would get alot more people to use a avatar because of how easy it is

It wouldn´t be a problem to change the defult avatar but I m not sure exactly what to change it to;-)
