great write up. Very handy. What is the cutoff between low light ans high light plants? Would 2 watts/gallon still be low light?

2 watts per gallon would be at the cut off of low light and medium...
I really believe that a majority of plants can be grown in 2 watts per gallon succesfully though ... if you don't mind slower growth...and yes even high light plants can grow in 2 watts if you add CO2 and the right nutrients. Only stay clear of foreground high light plants.
High light tanks - 3-5 watts per gallon can be a pain as the plants can grow so fast you end up just having to prune non stop to keep the tank looking neat and clean.

iron info plz
Could you please tell me if adding any iron objects inside my filter or tank would give me the needed increase in iron I believe my plants need ? Thanks

No it will just give you a rusty object. Not good at all for the fish. Use a proper plant supplement.

That tank is no longer I'm afraid (still have a lot of the plants though)... I do miss it...so no need for you to inflict any pain on yourself anymore LOL
