breeding for color
Hi, We have an outdoor pond that we filled with 5 dozen gold fish. They are now about 6-8 inches long. But all the babies are black. There are only 4 black adults and all the rest orange. How can we get more orange babies? Thanks, Caren

Remove the black ones?
That must be an absolutely HUGE pond to have that many fish in there!8 tanks running now:
1x 220 gallon, 2x55 gallon, 1x40 gallon long, 1x29 gallon, 1x20 gallon long, 1x5.5 gallon, 1x2 gallon
Gouramis, barbs, rasboras, plecos, corys, tetras, fancy guppies, swordtails, ottos, rainbow shark, upside-down catfish, snails, and Max and Sparkles the bettas.

Goldfish often change color as they age so they might eventually turn orange.
