Nerd Rant. Blizzard ticked me off.

So, I'm a computer nerd and play a crapton of video games, so sue me!

Anwyay..this is a rant, that many will probably not understand.

Pretty much, so sum up; Blizzard just split Starcraft 2 into THREE GAMES, each of which I quote: "we hope to release at least a year apart from each other, but no promises".

First game is Terran story only.
Second is Zerg story only.
Third is Protoss story only.

All games have all races for multiplayer, and new multiplayer content will be added with later game releases... so pretty much, but a year and a half, all anyone will play on battlenet is Terran...ugh.

Blizzard just split a $50 game into a $150 game...they let their success of WoW get to their heads, and have turned into a completely new company that is in no way as good as it used to me.

I just saw yesterday someone had a 2 ft blizzard and I thought for sure she was talking about that. duh!

Blizzard... is dead to me... My advanced purchase of SC2 now seems like a waste of money... I really don't like this "play by episode" trend. I thought it was bad with Half-Life 2. While I do understand the release of expansion packs for MMO's to keep content fresh and high level gamers happy, I don't understand why, or even how, a game like StarCraft 2 or even Half-Life 2 can be SO EPIC that it can't be contained in a single box. I mean geez, look at the "classic" PC games and how epic some of them were. Anway, long story short. MMO - new content is good, especially when you're paying to play it as it keeps interest high in the game. RTS/FPS - new content also good, but c'mon, give me the entire story. Of course this doesn't matter, because Blizzard is banking on the success of the Battle.Net aspect of the game leaving the poor fools who think that the story is somewhat interesting out in the cold. Who plays single player War/StarCraft anyway anymore besides me?

I actually just played through the whole SC single player before fall semester.

ive got every game system ever made but a PS3 (dont like them). you name it, ive got it. ive got like 10 N64's, all of the colors and a few blacks.
