Need more stickies in the plant section.
I can't remember the last thread that listed the proper specifications of their tank...at least the needed information for us to help. Making everyone ask/inform what needs to be listed and wait to offer the proper response after all that's been answered.
typical thread:
"can i grow plants in this certain sized tank?"
normal response: "what lighting do you have, fish,..."
tank size is usually listed but they always forget wattage and type of lighting, number/type of fish, substrate type and depth,....
Then once they figure out their lighting is usually inadequate they ask about the type of lighting needed. I know it's an individual basis but maybe a stickie listing the types, advantages/disadvantages of each would allow those to at least know the basics.
I'm sure there's a TON of things i'm missing but i just get burnt out reading the first few posts of a thread in the plant section always needing the same responses.

I agree Punisher. Many people are trying their hands at live plants, and the lighting, substrate and co2 are the biggest questions of all. Most of it can be explained easily and thoroughly without getting to confusing.
Once you get the basics, the rest is easy. Just sit back and watch them grow....75 gallon planted tank with discus, GBR's and cardinals
135 gallon saltwater FOWLR work in progress and desperately need help
