Good mother shrimp.
A few days ago, all my cherry shrimp chose to shed at the same time (..see blog).
Anyway, I noticed that one of the shrimp that "lost it's skin" was berried with eggs! I also noted that the eggs were still attached to her old self; I didn't know what to do, so I hid the shell in some java moss in the tank, hoping the eggs would live without being attacked to their actual parent.
Well, I noticed today that the shrimp are starting to come out of hiding and, what do you know, I saw that same shrimp go back to her old skin, and pluck off the eggs! She put them back under her tummy to care for again. Pretty smart shrimp...to remember she was carrying eggs!
